Transfer to Oberammergau – Passion Play

It is about 13 km from our hotel to Oberammergau, which corresponds to a driving time of about 14 minutes.
During the Passion Play, 800 parking spaces are set up in Oberammergau, from which free shuttle buses run to the event site.
There are two large Park & Ride car parks, which you can find via the signs „P&R South“ and „P&R North“. The parking fees are 5€/day.
You can buy parking tickets on site or book them online in advance here. You simply enter your license plate number and pay in advance.
Please note that the center of Oberammergau is partially completely closed to traffic and there are no parking spaces for visitors to the Passion Play.
A limited number of parking spaces are available near the theater for people with disabilities. To park, you need the blue parking permition for people with disabilities from the European Union.

By Train
→ Free of charge with the guest card, which you receive free of charge in our house. You can pick it up at the reception from 11:00 a.m. on the day of arrival.
Bad Kohlgrub train station is 800m away, so about an 11-minute walk from the hotel. The trains go to Oberammergau every hour. The journey time is approx. 18 minutes.
The distance from Oberammergau train station to the Passion Theater is approx. 500m, so about a 6-minute walk.
The last trains from Oberammergau back to Bad Kohlgrub are scheduled to run at 10:27 p.m. and 11:16 p.m. Here more about the timetable: www.bahn.de
For the free journey, you must carry the guest card, a confirmation from our hotel and an identification document with you.
